# Do employers have to pay for first aid training?

## Yes, organisations are legally required to provide adequate and appropriate first aid provision.

It is the responsibility of an organisation rather than the employee to provide any required first aid provision. This includes any training or first aid equipment as identified in the first aid needs assessment.
