You first aid training provider will need to meet certain requirements to be able to issue a valid first aid certificate.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) doesn’t vet, check or approve training providers or courses for you. The onus is on you to perform your own due diligence and ensure that the course and how it’s delivered, meets the standards outlined by the HSE and, most importantly, your needs.
When choosing a first aid training provider, you should look for an organisation that has appropriate qualifications, demonstrate the necessary skills and competencies set out by the HSE to deliver training to the required standard, a robust quality assurance process and offer ongoing learning and support.
