What needs to be in a first aid kit?

The HSE requires employers to provide a first aid kit as a minimum and ideally one that meets British Standards.

While there are no specific requirements for what needs to be in the first aid kit itself, the contents of the first kit should always reflect and be influenced the outcome of the organisations first aid needs assessment. 

The HSE lists an example of what a first aid kit could include where the activities are low risk but every workplace is different and you must ensure I is suitable for your specific circumstances and the risks you may face.
